Electronic devices take important place in today’s fast-developing world. Our morning starts from the sound of alarm on our mobile phone, later we switch on our laptops to check e-mails. While preparing a breakfast we turn on some music that helps us to wake up finally. During the breakfast we need our mobile phones to check Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and other social media. During the whole day we are making appointments over the phone, working with computers, listening to music on our road to work or school. Finally, after such a busy day, we decide to relax and watch some film.
If I were offered 1000 dollars not to use different electronic devices for one week, I would surely try this. To be sincere, economic motivation is not the main reason, why I would decide to take part in such experiment. First of all, I would like to know what would change without mobile phone or laptop. I do not consider myself being social media addicted person, however I must admit that I spend a lot of time using my phone for different purposes. Secondly, I believe I would have more time for myself. In the morning I could learn some poems by heart to train my memory. I could read more books in the evening. I could spend more time on fresh air, visit some museums or just go for a hike. Of course I would face some inconveniences, for example, it would be harder to arrange some meetings, but I believe that I would cope with that.
