The vitality, strength, flexibility and frenzy made the night of 12th November worth remembering. The drumbeats and the sensation that came with it made even the heaviest of the audience feel like they had the capability to just stand and join the crew. Was it not for the fact that the audience was separated from the performance by chairs which also limited the movements; it is obvious that everybody would be on the dance floor. All eyes and heads were tuned to the dance floor, as any change in position would mean missing an amazing move and beat. Each dancer and drummer had a thrilling performance that it was more confusing to the eyes on where to fix the gauze. One had to keep their eyes rolling just to ensure they had a little bit of every performer.
Realizing that I had to give a report of what happened, I decided to shift my focus from the dance troupe to the audience. What I saw was synonymous, young and old, male and female were all trying to shake their shoulders and heads and almost leaping out of their chairs. Mouths were opened as they all seemed amazed at the thrilling performance on the stage. It was clear from the mood that everyone wished they could be as flexible as the dancers or just at least steal a moment and be part of the group. The stage was well utilized and the guests well entertained. It was interesting to see that even those who had come to record the event could not do it as they felt they would miss out. The best thing was to record the entertainment to have a more detail glimpse at it at home yet most people were overtaken by the moment.
At one moment, I felt like the performers were flying right in the air and they could fall on the audience. The group, which composed of both male and female dancers had mastered the art of multitasking. Dancing and drumming at the same time is an art that must involve a lot of practice and concentration. By simply watching the group, I felt like some energy was leaving me that made me imagine how the real dancers felt. Their costumes were also amazing and must have been made to handle the pressure and enthusiast that came with the moment. the problem with such performances however, especially when kids are involved, is that children will want to try the moves when at home. Some even start developing the ambitions of being like the dancers without quite understanding what it entails to be like them.
The night was an amazing one that left the audience craving for more. The dancers did not disappoint as they kept the audience alive all through. The variety of dance and drum styles made each moment fresh as the audience looked forward to something different. It was in fact difficult to count the number of dancers or even drums on the stage due to the frequent movements. I however did notice that the group contained both male and female performers. Time flew very fast and at the end of the performance, each one seemed to have a tale that could not be explained in words. The children were trying out on some of the moves on the stage, which made me get worried that they may just break their limbs and legs if they tried them at home.
