Introduction
The problem of lack of Quality Healthcare
Existing problems in the healthcare sector have been adversely attributed to a mixture of several systematic quality and access problems integrated with historical injustices. The dimensions of problems in the healthcare sector are linked to race, ethnicity, socioeconomic status and the geographical gap. This paper shall coherently and comprehensively discuss whether solutions to lack of quality health care exist. Fradin, (2008).
It is prudent to note that improving the quality of health care provision is one of the fundamental solutions which the ministry of health should look at. But the question is how can health can the quality of health care provision be improved. The following paragraph shall discuss some of the ways through which provision of quality health care can be improved. Fradin (2008).
Are there any solutions to the problem? Please explain
The broader study of such existing disparities and low quality lead to a number of solutions to be offered these can be done through: Promoting the patient dignity and personal responsibility where patients are made a central focus in the verge improve healthcare. Individuals must be ready and willing to own the kind of illness they posses for a hopeful management of the ailment.
The health care information technology is also critical if the ministry of health is to improve the quality of the health care being offered. Easy access to health care information helps the providers and patients to redesign some of the clinical practices in a way that improves the quality within the health care sector. Krishna (2003).
Performance measurement; in order to provide quality health care, assessment of the clinical care being provided at a time is crucial. This is because performance measurement enables the health care providers to improve the quality of the care. Other solutions include, provision of incentives so as to promote innovative clinical redesign, better data, qualified personnel, availability of medical infrastructures and patient self-management among others. Fradin (2008).
Are there some of the solutions already implemented in healthcare organizations? Please describe such existing attempts, programs or interventions.
In order to comprehensively respond to this question certain factors need to be considered. For instance, the states of the economy of that given country. This is because, certain countries such as United States of America offer high quality healthcare. This is because of the availability of most of the factors that are required to ensure that quality healthcare is guaranteed. However, in the context of developing countries such as Kenya, we can say that some of the solutions have already been implemented in the health care organizations. For instance, ensuring quality of the personnel offering health care services are one thing that most of the health care organization has adhered too.
This has been made possible by ensuring that the people employed in such sectors are highly qualified and has authentic certificates which prove their qualifications. The government has also played a much greater role in ensuring that the solutions are fully implemented by allocating enough finances to the ministry of health. Other programs which have been put in place to necessitate the provision of quality healthcare include mobile clinics that are well furnished. Another program includes outreach and education; this program can help the uninsured and underinsured residents to effectively make use of the available healthcare resources.
Do they seem to be working, please compare and contrast the programs?
Of course yes, the programs are working effectively and efficiently.
Similarities between the programs
The programs are similar since both programs aims at ensuring that quality health care is provided. On the other hand, we can say that the programs are different because, mobile clinics targets mostly the patients who are not able to walk to the hospitals and who have minor health problems while outreach and education programs target all the patients who would like to effectively utilize the available health care services.
Conclusion
In conclusion, it is prudent to note that the paper has looked at some of the health care problems that hinder the provision of quality education. This paper has also discussed some of the solutions which can be put in place so as to ensure that quality health care is guaranteed.
