All members of health care industry subjected to so many rules, regulations, inspections, and certifications, for the improvement of health care system to provide better services to patients. The nurse administrators and physicians are improving the quality of care and patient safety. They undergo subjection to these rules and regulations in order to protect the privacy and confidentiality of the patient health information. The health care professionals spend quality of time in following these rules that direct their work.
It is important for the members of health care industry to follow the laws, rules, and regulations for providing quality of health care services that helps in making health care systems strong and powerful. In the absence of these rules and regulations, it is possible that the members of health care industry including the administrators, the physicians, and other staff will provide services of low quality at high quality expenses. Therefore, protecting the interests of health care consumers is necessary by subjecting the health care professionals to rules and regulations. Moreover, these rules and regulations help to regulate the health care professionals’ practice by setting a certain level of experience and education required for practice. For this, the members must achieve certification from specialty board to meet the requirements of health care industry .
Inspection of the health care industries including hospitals and clinics is very crucial for the health and safety of patients. Sometimes they may undergo inspection in response to a patient’s complaint. These inspections examine the fitness and adequacy of the facilities in a health care industry. Health care inspection and certification ensures that the members of industry are complying with the relevant state and federal licensure standards .
