Health care industry is one the most growing and promising fields in the service sector. With an aim to be a part of the vast health care industry; I pursued a service degree in the primary care sector to be able to serve people by giving them quality health service. I have completed a graduate course in Health Care Management from the University Of Phoenix and I wish to pursue the Accelerated Program for Non-Nurses from your esteemed University. The University of Rochester offers an experienced faculty, world class educational infrastructure and the latest curriculum in my desired field.
I am a self motivated individual, can deliver results even in the most crucial situations; I learnt to be proactive and determined while I served as a Hospital Corpsman in the US Navy. I specialise as a Cardiac Sonographer and have worked at Intermountain Healthcare; treating adults and children with patience and perseverance. Patients need empathy as the first step in treatment; it was a humbling experience to offer volunteer services for American Breast Cancer Services, American Heart Association and Boy Scouts of America for five years. I am adept at handling the Echocardiography Laboratory; working as a team and administering the daily procedures have given me the experience of dealing with exceptional cases. The diversity of work has strengthened my aim of specialising in health care wellness and providing service to patients with limited access to healthcare. To be able to realise my dream I need to learn about advanced heath care techniques; your prestigious University will help me in becoming an expert in my selected field.
I posses excellent inter personal communication skills; understanding the requirement of the patient and effectively coordinating with his family is the first step in treatment. I have learnt that through my excellent observational skills, quick diagnosis and caring attitude, I can treat patients successfully. I have coordinated with my seniors and subordinates with dexterity; for successful implementation working as a team is essential. My educational and extensive health care background has equipped me to deal with patient problems with a positive and caring attitude.
Being an avid reader I keep updating myself with the latest developments in the nursing and health care sector; attending seminars and numerous workshops by eminent personalities, has enriched me with a solution based thought process. I know that there is no substitute for hard work; integrity and honesty are vital in treating patients. I take full responsibility for my course of treatment and am I learning to be conscientious. Strong research work and clinical experience has always encouraged me take up a Nurse Practitioner Program; I am sure with my strong will power and natural sympathetic nature I will complete the course with success.
I can be autonomous and self directed as required by the situation; I have worked under extremely difficult situations with strict deadlines. I am calm and compassionate as patients need emotional healing along with medical care.
