At the beginning of the presentation the presenter needs to describe the link between aging and mental health by referring to figures and facts (slide 2). The presenter needs to stress importance of the issue in the light of population aging trend and highlight its latent nature. Thereafter it is necessary to mention that health includes not only physical health, but mental and social wellbeing dimensions; therefore, parity between mental and physical health needs to be achieved (slide 3). Then the presenter needs to describe the ways that are offered to be employed in order to pursue this goal. At slides 4and 5 I used white to refer to initiatives, and highlighted their objectives in black. After describing the initiatives it is necessary to highlight expected income that consists of three major elements (slide 6).
Slide 7 is the first one to start second part of the presentation that is aimed at describing the legislative visit to the office of the City Council Member Mrs. Keisha Lance Bottoms. Slide 7 allows the presenter to explain why particularly she was chosen. Referring to slides 8 and 9, the presenter needs to mention that before the meeting some organizational measures and preparatory activities were implemented. Turning to the slide 10, the presenter suggests reconsidering the flow of the presentation that I made during my legislative visit. Thereafter the presenter will refer to the way the policymaker responded to my suggestion (slide 11). After highlighting two basic parts of the meetings (my presentation and response of the policymaker), the presenter needs to refer to the results of the conversation (slides 12-13).
Then there is one more transfer to my own reflections that can be made by such link as “after the meeting and participation in the drafting of policy proposal, the following insights can be expressed” (slides 14-15). Then, before concluding remarks, it is necessary to once more emphasize the importance of the issue and the initiative for nursing (slide 16). Finally, what the presenter wants the listeners to return home with is formulated at the slide 17.
