Healthy living is a very crucial aspect of life normally appreciated by all individuals and for this reason; health facilities should be responsible for the promotion of good health. A health facility, for instance, a hospital need to be well equipped for it to be able to provide the much-needed support when it comes to the medication of illnesses. The basic role of a health facility in the promotion of good health is firstly it will assist in the medication of diseases (Edelman, Mandle, & Kudzma, 2013). Secondly, the hospitals help in the prevention of diseases through provision of advisory services and mass education campaigns to educate people on various illnesses.
The third though not least role of any given health facility be it a clinic or a hospital is its efforts in the counseling of patients. The facilities incorporate the services of professional experts and counselors to offer guidance and counseling to the various deserving parties affected by deadly diseases such as HIV/AIDS (Edelman et al., 2013). These roles of the health facilities are very crucial in the phenomenon of promoting good living standards among the citizens. However, rules and regulations should be there to govern the services and actions of the facilities to ensure that they do not charge unnecessary charges to the patients.
Finally, the health leads program is a national program that intends to link low-income patients to basic needs and resources such as food and fuel assistance (Edelman et al., 2013). The aim of this program is to enable the patients to live a healthy lifestyle by offering the basic substances they lack. This program can easily work in the hospital because all the management needs to do to introduce a separate entity that will be in charge of the provision of the services. Therefore, this independent body will provide the basic resources that the patient requires.
