In the article “Modify Your Diet so You Feel Terrific”, Dr. Mercola informs us that the heart diseases take second place after cancer on the top deadly illnesses list. Although this is the good news due to the fact that recently it was in the first place, the number of deaths from this disease is still extremely high.
Recently, the scientists have come to the conclusion that the cholesterol is not the heart’s enemy. It is a significant breakthrough in the terms of nutrition because people do not have to keep to the low-fat diet anymore. Of course, the proper diet plays a vital role in keeping yourself healthy, but there is no need in running to extremes. One should bear in mind that it is better not to diet at all than either starve or binge. I agree with this because such drastic changes can damage our body even more severely than the constant high-fat diet.
For those, who feel that their nutrition is not proper, and affects their state, so they feel hungry even when they are full, have sweet cravings, and experience negative emotions, Dr. Mercola suggests trying the diet based on the metabolic type. There are three types of the metabolism: protein, carb, mixed. Each of them is described in his book “Take Control of Your Health” so you can easily define yours. I would like to read this book because lots of experiments show that this approach has proved to be helpful.
People should exercise to strengthen the vessels as well. And the most probable cause of the most of the diseases is our emotional state. I could not agree more with this statement because it was proved long ago that peaceful, not exposed to the stresses people are much healthier than people, who experience a lot of stress in the workplace, or who is anxious by nature.
