Discussion Question One
Despite the health related issues that are associated with cardiovascular diseases being mostly related with obesity and weight issues; little has been done to reduce cardiovascular diseases. The advocacy should focus on making the affected persons acknowledge that there is no embarrassment in being overweight. The affected people should be educated on the importance of being healthy. This is through advising them on the kind of diet that they should consume to maintain good health. This will ensure that the risk of succumbing to cardiovascular diseases is reduced (Labarthe, 2011). Body fitness programs should be established in the church to facilitate health programs relevant in reducing these diseases. It is evident that holidays are the perfect time to facilitate such programs. This is because the adults are free and relaxed at this particular period.

Hi Tamara,
It is evident that heart diseases are a major leading cause of death in the United States. It is indisputable as suggested in the argument that women are mostly affected by heart disease. Setting up programs aimed at addressing this concern is relevant in ensuring that these diseases are avoided (Esselstyn, 2007). Programs should provide education on healthy-living practices. Involving family members of the affected persons and other members of the community goes a long way in preventing the diseases. A lot of efforts should be done in ensuring they are provided with the necessary diet that will promote healthy living and avoid contraction of heart diseases.

Hi Cynthia,
Not belonging to a particular church should not stop you from carrying out your plans. This is attributed to the fact that there are a lot of platforms that you may use to ensure that your message is put across. Your strategies should be aimed at conveying the right message which will emphasize on the need for healthy-living through adoption of particular diet programs (Gray, & Pack, 2011). Your strategies should also be composed of the dangers associated with unhealthy eating practices. This will provide emphasis on the need of a healthy dieting program.
