History-Graded Influences Critical Thinking Examples

History-graded influences are historical events, such as the Holocaust or an economic recession, that affect the development of the individual, physically, psychologically and/or culturally and over time can become genetic changes. I think that the biggest history-graded influence in my development would be the terrorist attack on the World Trade center in 2001. The seriousness surrounding the attacks had caused a lot of changes to occur. With people being more aware of the chance a tragedy like this can occur, it makes people realized that there are people that will risk their own lives for the what they believe in, even if it means unjustly attacking another individual.
The impact that this event has had on me is that it has taught me to be more cautious of what is happening around me. This was only reiterated from other events since, including the London bombing, and the Boston marathon bombing. These events have upped the urgency for personal security for me and everyone else. They create people being less trusting and more on edge, not sure if similar will happen again in the future.
I find that these are the biggest history-graded influences within my own lifespan development. I find that it creates a lot of negative impact on how newer groups are responding to the situation. I think that these events also cause an urgent need for changes in how we as a group respond. By upping security measures, many people experience stress form the wait that comes from the heightened security measures that actually create more stress and stress related illnesses.
I think that these are the biggest impact on my development as it teaches me to be more aware of my surroundings and prepared for anything that may occur, whether positive or negative. These issues occurred, because people did not notice that other issues that lead up to the events. Now with people becoming more aware of their surroundings, they are more cautious and pay closer attention to the individuals they are around.
