Dear Mr. Peller:
I am a student volunteer in the Children’s Place Association, focusing upon improving the HIV/AIDS conditions of children so afflicted in our community. The reason I am writing you today is to inquire about your participation in a tax-deductible donation to our cause. One of my sons died of HIV/AIDS, having contracted it from a tainted blood transfusion when he was six years of age. Ever since then, I have volunteered that other children may receive better care and life quality. As a volunteer, I am qualified to inform you that no dollar goes to waste. Frugal efforts abound in the critical areas of housing needs and case management helping poverty stricken families.
Several facts demand your attention. A new program, our ‘Home Based Early Education’ program launched in 2011 provides developmental support for babies through ages three. Studies have proven early childhood development can make or break their future. Your conscientious and excellent track record indicates that you fully understand compassion is the best policy, in helping those who cannot help themselves. I believe a stronger base of healthy kids, provide the foundation for a better world. May you please consider a donation this year of $10,000 to enlist wider service of our newest program?
As a volunteer, I see the daily steps of progress these HIV/AIDS afflicted children struggle with. Watching them sometimes saddens me, in terms of remembrance of my son who died of the disease. But, I am encouraged. Your tax-deductible donation will make all the difference in a child’s immediate start in life. Please seriously consider sending your donation today, Mr. Peller. Feel free to contact me should you have any further questions, concerns, or if you would like a tour of our facilities to witness the work that we do.
I send you my best regards, and thank you for taking time out of your busy schedule to consider my request on behalf of the Children’s Place Association.
Sincerely,
John Doe
