Homelessness in the U.S.A especially Los Angeles is however dwindling over the past years. This problem of homelessness that first aroused from the inequality in society is well depicted in the conflict theory and explained on the basis of its very existence. The institutions that have come up to deal with such problems of homelessness have really healed to tackle the issue. This can be seen in the Americans Volunteer organization and other government institutions. The plight of the homeless is devastating making them to face all the harsh realities of living without meeting their basic needs such as shelter.
It has been realized that the conflict theory of society and classes is very important in establishing the root cause of the problem, having established the cause; mitigation can be realistic and implementable because effective planning can be done. The rich or upper class however getting all the blame of social injustices and inequality are in a way very crucial in their facilitative role in enabling the homeless get back to their feet. It is the well-of whom takes the forefront of realizing that society has completely reached efficiency and livelihoods are established. However we can never rule out that the policies and regulations target the poor or have not. The system is deeply cultured to this phenomenon, and makes the public view the homeless in a suspicious way and alienates them deliberately.
Understanding homelessness requires one to acknowledge the division in societal classes. Homelessness is a deprivation of a pristine human right and should be handled in a way that protects human rights and dignity disregarding the level of power and influence or wealth. Los Angeles authority though all it has done by ensuring that Skid row is well looked at, it should do more and benchmarks from socialist states in protecting every citizen.
