There are a number of companies that has utilized their round of financing in their early stage of their financial cycle to raise huge amount of money. This series c round has helped such companies to expand their field of production, hence referred to as additional expansion stage.

During the Series C round, these companies attains a financing stage where they illustrate success in the market and potential for wider market. In order for a company to achieve this round, it has to acquire history of growing profitability and outstanding management structure. During this stage the venture capitalists have already attained the breakeven point and they are aiming for exit strategy. This stage represents the final step in the company’s growth cycle before the Initial Offering. Otherwise, the investors can decide to sell the company to another set of investors.
