The decision on which ability is the highest comes when there are two or more directives that are govern from the persons who are high in command than I am. In such a situation the first question that I ask myself is who is in legally in command of the situation. At such a scenario, while one party may be above the authorized party he/she may not be in a position to give orders.
Confidence
The issue of confidence is measured in two main areas; addressing a person who I above me in authority, and meeting a new person or new scenario. In most cases, I have found myself, being a bit nervous when talking to a new boss (Rubenfeld, Barbar, 2010). This is most cases due to the unfamiliarity. However, this does not go to the extent of not airing out my ideas or asking right questions. In dealing with new situations, I have in many cases maintained introvert’s so that I can learn the person or situation. However, at the same time I still maintain my inquisitive character.
How do you justify your thinking to someone who questions your conclusions?
In a situation that I am responding to a person who questions my understanding and conclusions, I have found myself following a certain sequence. One I have to maintain my opinion since I do not believe on indecisiveness (Hooks, 2009). However, so as to avoid a lot of controversies, I base my argument from a very general point of view. This makes it possible to relate two scenarios. When such a person insists, I give my argument backing by citing some precedence. With that I have been able to overcome controversy.
Do you ever think aloud, or do you wait to speak until you have your ideas firmly in place? Why?
The issue of thinking aloud has happened to me more often. However, this is more frequent when I am in a situation that is provoking and that requires immediate attention at such scenarios I have found myself giving the first point while still thinking of the second point or what to add to the first point (Ryan, 2011). This has also happened in an interview where I am required to respond to a situation that either I had not premeditated or I have not come across but I have a rough idea of what it entails.
In what situations are you easily swayed from your thinking by someone else opinion?
The situations that find me swayed from my opinion is when there are changes on the subject matter or where I do not have adequate information about the subject matter. For example, the field of law experience changes by the day. Where foe example I have based my opinion on an outdated law, I may change my opinion should it be proven to me that such changes have been made.
Perseverance Pursuit of a course with determination to overcome obstacles
Describe a challenging situation, the obstacles involved, and how your thinking allowed you to stick with the task.
At one point I was required to choose between quitting employment or moving on while it was involving situations that breached my principles. Despite opposition from my peers I still stepped down.
Describe your thinking when you have to decide whether to pursue a task or move on
When deciding whether top pursues a task, the first question I ask myself is how much benefit I shall have if I peruse. From there I find out whether I have the right qualifications and if not how can I make up or satisfy the persons involved that I am capable even without some qualifications.
How would others describe your ability to persevere?
My friends have always quarrel me for being over patient. This is usually due to being too lenient in timekeeping.
