Introduction
This paper demonstrates in detail on the outcome of divorce on a child. It entails that as a result of divorce, it brings about insecurity on the child, and it can also cause a child to become vulnerable when dealing with relationships of their own. A child tends to have a desire to be wanted, and hence this shows that children go through negative implications as a result of divorce (Das, 2011). Furthermore, divorce contributes to unhappiness among children as they are exposed to a high level of discrepancy from their co-parents before and after separation. This is so as a child has a tendency to have difficulties of his or her own, especially with building relationships with others. In essence, this entails that divorce hurts a child’s aptitude to make friends in school, and also hurt his or her ability to happily marry later in life. The books below illustrate in detail on the consequences of divorce on a child;

Presence of divorce may also make a child feel a sense of loss as separation from parents can mean that they lose not only their home but also their whole way of life. The author shows that they may also feel torn between both parents and at times fearful about being left alone. In addition, another entity that comes about is that there might be presence of feelings that are often made worse by the fact that many children have to move home and school and this degrades their way of life. This shows that divorce tends to lead to a negative implication on a child, and hence it is not essential for divorce on a child (Floyd, 2011).

Presence of divorce on a child tends to bring about a stigma which can be overwhelming as it can affect multiple domains in a child’s life. Furthermore, divorce can also lead to a set of multiple chains of impact. This entails that a single risk factor that affects multiple systems of the child’s development can have a profound impact to affect their development as well. In addition, multiple risks that are brought about as a result of divorce can be detrimental for him or her adjustment. A child’s effect on divorce is quiet intriguing; this is so as there could be emotions during and after a divorce which may range from anger and anxiety to guilt and sadness (Teena, 2006).
Brodkin, A (2005) Helping a child when parents divorce. Scholastic parent & Child, ISSN, Volume 112, Issue 4, P. 33.
In essence, this shows that presence of divorce on a child can affect his entire life if proper steps are not undertaken in time. Divorce on a child is more painful on children who are undergoing adolescent and childhood as it is something that stays in their head until adulthood. Thus, it is the reason as to why the author demonstrates on the importance of avoiding such events in time of a child. This is so as the author illustrates that divorce on a child can affect his entire life, and hence cause him or her to live an insecure life (Brodkin, 2005).
Oleksandr, Z (2012) Spousal conflict and divorce. Journal of Labor Economics, ISSN 0734- 306x, volume 30, Issue 4, pp.915-962
Here the author exhibits that after divorce, a child’s responsibility to the family is affected by the loss of one parent within the home. This is true as the child is usually responsible for the care of younger children and assumes more household chores. But as a result of divorce, it acts as a field of changing family relationships which begin during the failing years of the marriage. Therefore, the author shows that the disruption of the family through divorce causes a child to assume new roles, beliefs and expectations about his or her live (Oleksandr, 2012).
Merrill, D (2011) When Your Children Marry: How Marriage Changes Relationships with Sons and Daughters, Rowman & Littlefield Publishers.
This is so as the author illustrates that a child might grow up with a negative perception basing on the parent he or she is living with. The child might adopt the same strategies in future, and fail to maintain his or her marriage. In addition, the author illustrates that children in adolescents are the ones who are most affected, hence the reason as to why divorce ought to be evaded. This will ensure that no child goes through a trauma that will affect his or her future in a negative way (Merrill, 2011).
