Presentation on YouTube by Scott Dinsmore brings out some interesting ideas about how people can improve their life-quality through work they love. I personally found interesting five issues on the topic. Scott was introducing the audience to a framework compass that consists of three elements that people are supposed to look for in themselves to be successful: finding out your Unique Strengths and Values, and then defining your Experiences - what you love or hate, what you are good or bad at – and then apply this knowledge to your own life situations.
However, the definition of success is multifaceted. It is true that only putting all three elements - Unique Strengths, Values, and Experiences – together a person can pursue his goal, to ultimately make a difference in own life and career. Moreover, to achieve it, a foundation is necessary, which means that one should know what he is looking for in order to find it. Also, doing the impossible and going to the brink, when exploring one’s possibilities and limits, is worth a try. Most ordinary people do not even believe that they can do more, so they tend to give up prematurely or never give it a try. Usually, for us big deeds are milestones waiting to get accomplished. Until, someone does it. Then, it is about Confidence that you can do it yourself one day, and it can be anything, like entering a university, piloting a plane, or climbing the Kilimanjaro. In all cases, you do it for yourself; first, you see where you are today, and then where you want to be in the future. Creating or joining a Community of likeminded people is important to feel that you belong there. A positive Environment can inspire you to change for better. You do not need to change you goals, just your surroundings. Perhaps the only thing that limits one’s possibility is your own imagination.
My first question is where to get the inspiration that is needed in my work?
My second question is how to set my career goals?
