It is very easy to insert an image into a Word Document. The assumption for this task is that the image has been stored into your “downloads” folder in your computer, and that one already has his Word document open at the moment.
Inserting an image into a Word document is easy and can be accomplished in a few steps:
Open the word document.
Click the place in the document where you wish the image to appear. The insertion cursor, which is a vertical blinking line, will be seen at this point. When inserted, the image’s left bottom corner will be at this place.
On the main toolbar, click “Insert”. Then click “Pictures”. A screenshot of this is shown below:
As the image is inside the Downloads folder, click open the Downloads folder:
When the Downloads folder is opened, click on the image you want to insert (image075.jpeg):
The picture will be inserted accordingly.
If one wishes to wrap text around the image, this may be done once more in a few easy steps:
Click on the image itself. The Picture Tools box will be highlighted in the toolbar above.
Click the word “Format” under the Picture Tools heading in the toolbar.
Click on the “Wrap Text” portion.
Make your selection as to where you wish your text to be placed in reference to the image.
For the image below, the wrap selected was top and bottom. Thus one may use this to place a caption at the bottom of the image, as shown below:
The Energy Density in a 1000K Oven
There are other options if you wish to wrap text around an image. For example, if you wish to send a birthday image to a friend, just be sure that you have selected an image and that it is stored properly in a folder in your computer. Do not forget to remember both the folder and the name of the image. Insert it once again in your Word Document:
Happy Birthday!
Have a great one!
One can always make use of the available fonts and colors for wrapping text around an image. Microsoft Word provides the writer/designer with a very wide variety of fonts and colors to work with. As usual, practice makes perfect. It will not hurt for one to keep on practicing and making use of all the images that he can find online and in his own storage in the computer. Be very careful with the selection of images. If you insert a wrong image, simply highlight it and press the backspace key. You can also click on the image, and while using a mouse, do a right click and highlight the “cut” selection. Also, if one has become quite adept at inserting the images and wrapping text around them, one can simply take images from the Internet, right click on the image, click “copy”, and then bring the cursor to the space where the image should be and then “paste” the image onto the space. There will be no need to take an image from one’s computer files if one wishes to get an image while he is online. The image will be deleted immediately. Given lots of time and practice, anyone can prepare great messages using images and texts.
