Information Technology
Academic development always comes with practical learning and application of learnt concepts and ideas. Theoretical learning can only give me exposure to a certain extent; therefore, attending this conference will definitely help me broaden my horizon in my field of study. The IT world is dynamic in nature; hence, these conferences help to also keep individuals updated with the latest industry trends. Apart from course work knowledge I am interested in finding out what the trends of the real world business are mainly to prepare myself before I step into the industry myself. People who are prepared beforehand often fare better at their jobs and make a place in their respective companies relatively easily than those who have no idea what the industry trends are.
How will attending this conference benefit your program and campus as a whole?
Conferences provide a great chance for individuals to network with people in their industry and who share similar interests. In terms of the benefit, the campus can gain is that it will help increase the visibility of our campus in the industry. If I actively participate in the discussions and network with the right people, I will be representing my college and my discussions will reflect my knowledge and increase the credibility of the program. Renowned names in the IT sector will be attending the conference, and this might be an ideal opportunity for our campus to get our program detail out in the industry. This will later benefit our students of this program and related fields of study to secure better jobs because of their visibility in the market. It will also help improve the program structure and revise areas which may now not be in line with industry trends.
