Challenges facing Papa Holdings Ltd
Companies are often faced with challenges. These can sometimes be administrative as well as employee related. However, the company must always forge ahead through clear-cut plans that help boost the activities of the company. It is important that certain matters facing the company are dealt a blow before they escalate. However, that will require the input of certain individuals within the company. Human Resource department is often tasked to oversee or undertake certain mandates to help the company remain competitive. That might include the hiring of competent staff to dealing as well as carrying out the performance reviews. All the activities are normally meant to aid the competitiveness of the company in the market. Competition is often a serious threat when not handled properly by the management. It is because companies have invested heavily to ensure that they remain relevant and adaptive to market changes. It is thus important that structures are put to ensure that there is the rapid response when the need arises to limit the chances of failure or being outwitted.
Losing business to competitors-As a seller of household goods, it is important to keep the prices as affordable as possible. Over the past three months, the prices of the company have been a bit high compared to the competitors. While it is important that the prices are maintained fairly low, it is also important to emphasize on the quality of our products. The reason for the increase in the prices is only due to increased supply costs. However, certain customers have found it expensive to continue with our services. As a result, they are opting for alternatives from our competitors that have compromised on the quality to offer lower prices. To solve the problem, I will review the performance of the procurement personnel to ascertain their competence and suitability for the duties. I will hold a round-table discussion with the procurement personnel to understand why the company should get supplies at the current cost. In the discussion, they are expected to seek alternative avenues for supplies. It will help lower the cost of supplied products considerably to accommodate the current market prices. However, should there be any unmanageable incapacity; we will seek the services of alternative procurement personnel. In this case, the company will hire new personnel.
People are complaining about the company on social media- it remains the responsibility of the company to safeguard its public image. In the past one week, there have been several tweets on the social media regarding an applicant who was turned down for the job after performing poorly in the interview. However, the person realizing that all did not go his ways, decided to take to social media claiming that he had been asked for a bribe to be selected for recruitment. Consequent, the competitors have escalated the issue, and it has since gone viral. The company seeks to recruit a competent public relations staff whose only work will be to offer insightful information to the public regarding the company. The personnel will also be tasked to handle any form of propaganda arising from malicious persons whose intentions are ill-motivated. It will enable the company to respond to speculations in time and before much damage is done.
