1. Definition of the problem
The most powerful asset for an organization is to have a productive workforce and the productivity of workforce is directly proportional to the satisfaction of individuals with assigned job .HRPs are now facing the problem of low efficiency, absenteeism, elevated pace of turnover, frequent grievances and lack of dedication .The underline reason behind such redundant behaviors is the absence of employees satisfaction with the Job task. Organizations face massive financial and intellectual loses due to this problem because employees’ dissatisfaction ultimately results in loss of valuable customers and sales decline.
2. Summary of the previous investigations
Previous studies and researches were not able to locate the connection of job satisfaction with the performance of an employee. Due to which HRPs continued to press employees to achieve the set goals and target that eventually resulted in above mentioned problems. Human resource has always been neglected and managers always thought that nothing is more important for employees than a handsome compensation package (Lise and Timothy, 395–407). This assumption has been proven incorrect and many current statistics have shown that the most significant thing for an employee is the nature of work itself. Latest studies imply that that there are three types of gaps that must be addressed in order to handle the problem.
3. Identification
The current researches have proven that HRPs should concentrate on three gaps, first they need to find the causes that bring change in an employee stance next gap is to evaluate the impact of that change either it is in positive direction or in negative on the overall performance of an employee . Final gap is to implement right strategies and then measure the result from employee productivity and overall well being. Article talks about various ways to enhance the output and satisfaction level of employees and also articulate different strategies to bridge above mentioned gaps. Employees are the only weapon for an organization to fight with the tough competition in market and therefore their satisfaction is exceedingly required to get the desired end results
Recommendation
I conclude this discussion by reinforcing the fact that humans are not machines and organizations should take care of their emotions and psychology. Researches reveal that dissatisfaction with job run over the personal life of employees as well due to the stress build up due to job unhappiness. Organizations should involve employees in decision making process and assign duties according to their proficiencies and expertise. If the employees are pleased with their job then definitely they will take the business to the skies of unbeatable success.
