What have you learned about yourself through reflecting on this class?
In what ways would you act differently?
How have you committed to working against racism and oppression?
As long as of racism and oppression exists, it will be difficult to have a healthy and just world. Therefore, I have decided to uphold and respect the dignity of all people to better the world. My goal is to change my previous way of life and also convince people to join me in the fight against racism and oppression. I will be in the frontline to encourage people to live together and avoid judging each other based on races.
I have decided to commit myself as an advocate of anti-oppression in a life-long commitment. I will, therefore, become more accountable to protect my rights and that of others to avoid conflicts on a day to day activities. My commitment to working against racism and oppression is emphasized by my beliefs towards the following principles and values. I have a strong belief that all forms of life on earth are scared and interconnected. Therefore, people should realize that they are one and live in harmony. Moreover, it is good to always acknowledge that all individuals have the right to self-determination. This principle will open up opportunities to people from all races so that they can pursue their goals and ambitions. My ambition to protest against all forms of racism and oppression will be fundamental in the campaign.
What barriers do you expect in combating racism, and how might you handle this?
It will be challenging to convince people that we are all equal, and no race is superior to another. People will continue to point fingers towards various races and ignore the need to treat each in a good way. As a result of the hard decisions, the ambition to create the world that is free from racism and oppression will be a hard nut to crack.
