Recruitment of employees is one of the most crucial aspects that are carried out by the human resource department and as such it is of essence to ensure that the employees recruited are competent and effective for the needs of the organization. This paper will discuss the statement that effective employment strategies require effective planning to determine the specific human resource management needs of the organization when filling a vacancy.
For effective employment to exist, there must be good planning to ensure that the recruitment process is undertaken in a systematic manner that would ensure those recruited are competent enough. Planning in this case involves putting up measures of looking at the credentials of those being recruited and ascertaining that they meet those credentials . Interviews play a big role in this part. Competence is another aspect that ought to be looked at and this may be achieved by providing internship before full employment is done. By doing so, those to be recruited are evaluated in terms of their performance while in internship thereby choosing the best among those that are under scrutiny . An effective plan for effective employment does not end after recruitment has been done for the vacancies but it goes further to provide more training for those recruited in order to ensure that job performance increase.
The human resource management must therefore ensure that it has an effective plan for recruitment of employees in order to ensure that those employed meet the expectations of the company, that is, they should be effective to meet the objectives of the organization.
