In the PowerPoint slides, I will discuss what I have learnt about non-verbal communication and its importance from my own life experiences. I will also present the idea why it is important for people to diversify their communication skills in order to achieve better information transfer skills. This is mainly important since communication is a key element of everyday life. In order to be able to live comfortably it is critical for people to understand each other.
The audience:
The PowerPoint presentation mainly targets my group and the. This is mainly because I will offer what I have learnt about non-verbal communication from my research. The message that I will try to put across to my audience is that they must understand non-verbal communication in order to ensure that they can be able to communicate effectively. This is mainly because as discussed earlier communication is critical for everyday life. Therefore, the presentation has a global audience since all cultures around the world incorporate non-verbal cues into their language. Thus, there is a need for them to watch the slides and comprehend the ideas being presented by the speaker in order to ensure that they improve their communication skills. For example, understanding non-verbal cues is critical since in two cultures a gesture may have different meanings. Therefore, by understanding the meaning of such verbal cues confusion can be avoided in such a situation.
Purpose of the presentation:
The need for people to improve communication skills has led to the creation of the video. As human interaction continues to be furthered by technology as well as other aspects there is a need for individuals to be more effective when it comes to communication skills. Businesses around the world are starting to diversify into new countries, which have different spoken languages (Viswanathan, 2010). Therefore, there is a need for people to be able to communicate despite their obvious differences in language. In addition, the world is slowly becoming integrated with many different diverse cultures and languages interacting. This is why non-verbal communication is critical since it helps to bridge the gap between diverse individuals.
