This project is regarding improvement in Recruitment time with Centum. On the basis of analysis of data retrieved from Last six months it was found that Average recruitment time was overshooting by at least 20 Days, The project started in the month of Nov 11 and the goal was to achieve the target of maximum 20 Days for closing recruitment of associate band. It was important to do this project as Centum’s reputation was at stake and also to prevent revenue leakage due to lack of sign offs happening as per timeline. Scope was all the Recruitments done for associate band (Centum Pvt. Ltd.).

And how to ensure whatever we have measured is right or wrong?
Firstly I prepared the process flow map in discussion with the team. Post that we created a robust Data collection plan in relation to project Y, as per the specification limits we also decided the defect definition and few other things like data item needed formula to be used and plan to sample once we were done with the Data collection plan then we had to ensure that whatever we have measured is right or not.
Defect per Million Opportunities calculation:-

Standard Deviation = 62.9
DPMO = 35 x 106
75 x 1 = 466666.66
Z value = 1.6 Sigma
The capability was found to be 1.6 sigma (Z value through DPMO Calculation). The potential X’s around which testing was done were Department, Role Location, Reporting Manager, Designation, Candidate Finalization Time, Offer Time, Joining time, Source Type, Age, Gender, Marital Status.

Dept head has to ensure once HR exec forwards resume it must be screened within 1 Day, Delegation matrix to be created in case interviewer not available, Salary expectations to be closed within 1 Day and signed off from Head HR in case over approved amount. The recruitment offer needs o be given within a period of 2 days of taking the interviews and the joining must be done within 20 days of accepting the offer.
Post improvement the target as achieved an improvement of 29%. Process Capability improved from 1.23 to 2.58.
