Industrial spies
eBay.com is a steady company that is growing beyond borders. There are many prospects for this company as it grows from location to location. It would be interesting to know the trade secrets of this company. It would be beneficial to know what their secrets are. One thing I know of this company is that their network is outsourced to Alcatel Company which is tasked with ensuring that the network is working well. This is a very easier source of important information. I will pose as an Alcatel employee and go to the operations manager and inquire to get to know if the system is working. I will make sure that I have all the regalia and tools that are required of me to work on the information. I will also the human resource manager to give me one password for one network of the wireless network. on getting this information. I will use it to gain into the system;
with companies setting up wireless networks, this is becoming a source of insecurity in many companies. Most companies do not secure their wireless networks. For this reason everyone can access the network and work from there. I will probably get access to the intranet of the network and therefore enabling me to act like I am an employee of the company and will therefore be allowed to get some information. It will then be easier to gain access to the networks now.
This problem could not have occurred if the wireless network was secured. Since the wireless network was not secured, it acted as an avenue for thieves. There should also have been policy for security so that the system can be monitored at all times.
