It was launched by the twitter group and has the vine.co domain. Its name originated from the word Vignette which means “short highly impressionable scene,” it can also mean photo filter. The application is supported by both the android and iOS platforms. The app has a detailed tutorial on how to create the short videos of up to six seconds.
With the apples no adult content rule, the Vine has almost had the risk of being removed from the apples app store. This means that as popular as it might be gaining its base from the twitter popularity, it will have to create additional software to moderate its contents and keep it in the market. Some people have also used the platform to exploit innocent young ladies who fall in love with “ghost” men. These people give such innocent souls desperately such for true love fake identities before they steal from them or worse lure them to wherever they like and rape them after which they hunt for the next prey.
Vine is an easy app to use with more advantages compared to the disadvantages that might cripple its growth. The fact that a free social site is accessible by people of all age means that the app will still be under the same good and bad intentioned individuals just like any other social site. The site have helped multiple businesses to expand their market and even families to post their most hilarious moments amongst others. The fact that humans will always be driven by greed and sex gives the twitter group no reason to worry about it, as they will not scrap that bit out of the humans.
The terms and conditions of the app states that one shall be responsible for all his posts though the group should ensure that the users give their true details and even ID number and physical address. Their phone numbers should also be included and confirmation codes sent to their registered phone numbers to ensure that at least the evil minds are easily tracked. If possible having a background system that reads the serial number of the devices and store on their database will be extremely resourceful.
