It was a dark and stormy night in April. It was raining so hard that Julia’s windscreen wipers were not able to cope with the flow from the sky. While driving in her car, she imagined her friends with her, who were far away, in other countries, where they have moved after graduating the university. All of sudden, she invented a plan, the plan of possible reuniting on summer vacations, the island of dreams and fun, day and night parties and endless and transparent sea line of horizon and just them, best friends.
While Julia was driving and considering a place where all of them could fly, Sophia her friend, was studying in Greece and Marta was working in a hospital, in Ohio. The mission turned out to be very complicated as they lived in different continents and thousands of kilometers were between them. Suddenly the dark fog covered her road, she was not able to see anything in front of her car but she continued driving at twenty kilometers per hour, in order to be able to react. The dreams about sunny holidays did not leave her, those dreams made her blind for a moment when the deer jumped out of the forest and continued his run across the road. Julia slammed on the brakes and turned right in order to avoid a crash. The car skidded on the wet road and soared high into the air. At the moment of flight, she reminded herself about her childhood, funny days with her parents on marry-go-rounds then her happy teenage years, and unforgettable moments with her girlfriends.
My story does not end here. Luckily, somebody called the emergency services. I was unconscious, when I heard some strange but very familiar voices.
Marta: Look, Sophie! I found a map and some notes in her bag.
Sophie: What does it say? Did she want to commit a suicide?
Marta: No way! It is a plan of reuniting! She planned a vacation for us. Guess where?
Sophie: Adventure trip? Seems like Julia.
Marta: We are going to Ibiza! I cannot believe my eyes, looks like this accident was planned by her to make us come.
Sophie: What nonsense! Quick, her hand is moving. Oh, Julia finally you are with us.
One week had passed, the company of girls were lying on a beach, the silky sand was heating them and the light breeze was felt around. The Bora Bora beach was full of people, like cosmopolitan London (Beta, 2016). If you look across the sea you will notice the range of little islands and a small volcano, from which smoke rises up in the air, and suddenly disappears in clouds. The white gulls were flying above the sea, the sound of waves was heard along the beach line. The amazing atmosphere and complete feeling of relaxation. At night this place was turning into a global party(Bennet, 2014). Marta, was the one who could not live without parties even a day, so when she found out that David Guetta was coming with his annual concert she decided that she must find a way to go to that party. (Bennet,2015). The tickets were already sold, but a mischievous plan was already in her bright head. Then she exclaimed that she found a security guard, who would be at the entrance and he would let them in, because they are just beautiful girls. Julia had dressed up in her red woolen mini dress and high heels, and that moment when she was going on the red carpet with friends, all of them knew that Marta’s plan turned out to be a success for them. That night was a discovery for them, it was the first time they were together , singing the songs of their favorite singer and catching the flying balloons from the stage. Just then, Sophie who was the daughter of a priest, was kissed by a hot Spanish boy, and it was quite visible from the side that she was not resisting. After that, she came up to us and whispered girls please, you should remember Ibiza’s motto: “What happens in Ibiza stays in Ibiza”. She was confused as she was already engaged and we knew about it but we promised to keep the secret between us. That night continued on the skyscraper, the after party where we were invited by the same guard. The sixteenth floor of the building, we were staying on the roof and were enjoying the beauty of the Spanish night. The moon was full, the stars were so close that I felt that I could reach them. It was like a fairytale, where the girl who was about to die found herself in an amazing and powerful place which returned her to reality. She thought that those were the best minutes of her life. What could be better than exploring new places and sharing the happy and unforgettable moments with friends?
In the end, our adventure did not finish, it might sound awkward but Marta could not run away from her secret admirer and we were supposed to rescue her, or not we better to say I. Sophie ordered so many strange traditional drinks that was not able to walk in her high heeled shoes. Fortunately, I was brave enough to rescue and to carry them to our hotel. While we were walking, we took each other hands and promised that we would never forget about our crazy vacations and would treasure all our moment together. The distance is not a barrier for us anymore.
