In my opinion, climate change presents a fundamental problem in our world, and the species, places, and natural resources that are present in our world. The results of climate change are real as ocean levels have risen, and the planet is becoming warmer. Due to global warming, the world is experiencing intense and longer droughts that threaten wildlife, crops and freshwater. The increased global temperature has significantly altered the planet’s climate, and the result is extreme and highly unpredictable weather conditions. Climate change causes intense heat waves that are melting the polar ice caps and rising ocean levels, also long droughts are followed by lengthy and extreme rainfalls.
Several man made factors have an influence on the climate, but the single most relevant cause is the level of carbon dioxide (CO₂). Climate change happens as humans are responsible for significant increases in the CO₂ levels. The majority of the increases are caused by burning fossil fuels. CO2 is also produced when humans cut down forests and automobiles also releases greenhouse gases. All these man made factors combine to cause global warming, but there are some natural causes too such as Volcanoes and clouds. But, these natural causes cannot be controlled and man-made reasons can be controlled (J.P.).
Humans burning fossil fuels like oil, coal, and natural gas for generating energy have the biggest impact on the Earth’s atmosphere, much more than any other human activity or natural causes. Therefore, the ultimate cause of climate change matters as humans can avoid these decisions and choose alternative modes to reduce greenhouse gases in the atmosphere. Humans inhabit Earth, but their contribution to the rising temperature shows that there are not performing their moral duty to protect the environment. It is very important that humans take better care of Earth and protect it from climate change (J.P.).
It is very important that humans start working together with each other and find solutions to the rising climate change problem. Since human actions can be controlled and the natural resources cannot be controlled, it is high time that humans start taking preventing measures. It is important that alternative fuels are used for protecting the environment and humans reduce their greenhouse gas emissions.
