Moral compass is a person's ability to consider good and bad things. Not that things that were declared good by somebody, and things that are good regardless of our opinions. It is believed that people should take care about the moral compass only if "The Good" really exists. I think that moral vision and moral compass are important because people need to follow rules to live honestly. My moral vision includes help to other people. I am a person with specific weaknesses, opportunities, and powers. When I was a child, I never saved and helped cats or dogs because my parents did not allow me to do it, even though I really wanted to take care of some puppies. I am not God and not an a church employee and I am not ready to discuss human motives. I only care about the result that is a donation that helps children. Most likely, I just have strength and energy to do charity and maybe it's my personal karma. From the other point of view, I think that the financial motivation is low motivation, which may destroy any system. Thus, I try to inform people about traditions, culture, family values. Before I was engaged in charity, I got a big salary and once I started to feel sick from it. I thought: "I want to help others." It's just a normal human desire. My former boss once told me: "It is important for the donor to give blood for the recipient. It looks like an energy cycle and I believe in it.
My moral code is a quote: “Moral values are not for sale. They can be destroyed, but they are not for sale. A given moral value is only on one side, and it doesn’t make sense to steal or buy it.“ Success - it is harmony. Now I live very cool, I'm doing things I like, I have a great relationship with the family, wonderful friends. I follow the idea that all people are family and I wish to do my best to improve someone’s life. My moral code and my moral vision look similar. According to Taoists, all people have a life purpose, goal, respectively they seek to maximize happiness. When you see somebody is suffering, when you face with them, you contradict their purpose. Therefore, I think that everyone should help others in a comfortable way. If you can donate 10 dollars, and do not want to know about it - it's fine. If you want to go to the office and actively help parents or children – it is a great idea. According to my moral principles, I help charity organizations. Charity gives me satisfaction. I tell everyone that I have passed two stages of Maslow's pyramid, now I am passing third stage because I have everything I need. I have a work, healthy family, everything is fine with my personal life. I have the strength and opportunity to think about others.
My wisdom tradition takes into account religious beliefs of all people and takes into account interests of special religious groups. I believe that all people have a right to fully express themselves, follow their beliefs if they do not violate other’s rights. I believe in God and think that there is something that rules people’s lives. I have the sense to live and I have some people to die for. My wisdom tradition fully responds my religion and contributes to my code showing that all people are equal despite their confessions.
Moral fitness is important because there is no need to talk about moral principles, it is time to implement them in real life. I am tolerant of different minorities, people with different sexual orientation, with different physical abilities because I really believe that people get life obstacles to improve their lives. The man has to follow his path and it is great when one thinks about the personal social responsibility and gives money to charity. He can provide big or small help or can do nothing. I use such practices to improve myself, positively think about other people and always act according to my personal moral code.
I have a lot of challenges throughout my life, some moral challenges tested, clarified, and defined my character and values. I helped different people with complicated stories. In short, many people just demand money. "Give us one hundred thousand euros!". But then I ask them, what did you do to improve your positions? What efforts have made? Sometimes, people are even too lazy to print plane tickets. Once I helped a child in Italy after the operation and I even had to hire a babysitter because mom abused alcohol at that moment. It constantly happens that people don’t provide any information after surgery and do not give any information about the child. In short, I appreciate adequate people.
Human values will play a great role in my future as a business leader. I plan to follow my moral compass in my work. I believe that business and society must share common values because business directly depends on social progress. I have a strong moral code and compass and I plan to use them to pursue professional goals. I do not envy other people's money and success because it's only my problem that I do not have something. I always doubt about what I'm doing and whether it responds my moral principles. I can perfectly deal with tasks of business leader and I do not get tired of the usual working day and feel angry, even at night time because I do my work according to my moral compass. You should not expect to be a successful business leader when you're doing something for your sake or because you want to feel comfortable in your own skin. After all, my key take-away from this assignment is in updating my personal moral compass as a foundation for personal integrity and social conscience. I summarized my life experience and attitude towards others and realized that I want to work in charitable organizations as a business leader.
