I Contacted a Network Producer at KISS FM
Q1. What are your day-part time slots?
The day-part slots are divided into four sections:
Early morning slot – Runs between 6 Am and 9 Am
Daytime slot – Runs between 9 Am and 1 Pm
Afternoon slot – Runs between 1 Pm and 5 Pm
Prime time slot – Runs Between 5 Pm and 9 Pm
Q2. Rates
The radio station reaches the largest audience during the drive time shows that include the early morning slot when listeners are going to work, and the prime time slot when the listeners are coming back from home. During these periods, the rates are quite high and can set you back by between $700 and $1500 for a 30-second radio ad. Sometimes we give added value based on the number of slots one purchases. We charge as low as $4000 to $1100 if an ad is run across the board, meaning that they are aired randomly throughout the day. Conversely, during the day slot and afternoon slot, we charge a lower rate of between $300 and $1000 only.
Q3. Type of Companies That Use Them
The demographic landscape of our audience is largely the adults between the ages of 25 and 34 years and in some extent those between the age of 34 and 44. As such, they appreciate the alternative contemporary content and have a sizable disposable income. Therefore, the majority of the companies that advertise with us are those selling functional products rather than fashion products. However, companies dealing with essential fashion products such as mobile phones and other electronics are common. This categorization is not conclusive in itself because some companies selling products that would primarily appeal to the teenage or older audience still choose to advertise with us.
