This paper outlines a discussion I had with a clinician at my organization concerning NeuroCall, a premier Telehealth product. Based on the discussion, I ascertained that NeuroCall is a teleconferencing software meant for physicians and neurologists. The service offers support mechanisms for users in remote locations to connect with their medical counterparts. The primary mission of the service, therefore, is to coordinate care practices among providers within the healthcare setting (NeuroCall, 2011).
Generally, Telehealth makes it possible for health practitioners to communicate across practice settings using wireless connectively. Also, it allows for enhanced mobility for physicians and nursing staff across the healthcare environment. Third, contemporary Telehealth solutions offer great quality communication experiences in audio and video formats. Finally, the technology now allows health practitioners to provide call-associated coverage to multiple facilities across the world (NRTRC, 2016).
Particularly, NeuroCall charges a fixed rate for call services as billed to facilities. This advantage implies that facilities and consultants have a great chance of attaining enhanced usage due to NeuroCall’s cost-effectiveness. Also linked to this benefit is the idea that NeuroCall’s coverage offers additional time for users to manage their professional and personal lives. That is, the system works in a way that allows physicians to monitor their patient’s ongoing care at their convenience (NeuroCall, 2011).
Lastly, NeuroCall is a great choice for local physicians and neurologists willing to expand their practice coverage on a national level. Here, both professionals have it easy communicating with their counterparts across the country. Physicians, for instance, can act on emergency capacity with onsite teams at their convenience. The technology allows them to serve patients in multiple hospitals, thus gaining the coverage required for professional enhancement (NeuroCall, 2011).
