Interviewing a Post-founding Entrepreneur.
After getting the contacts for the post-founding entrepreneur, I called him. I had the opportunity to interview a top Founder and CEO of a certain company, who has been a successful entrepreneur. I got the chance to acquire information concerning entrepreneurship and the key skills for one to have to be a successful entrepreneur.
Interviewer: Financial regulations being extremely complex, what motivated you to start a technology firm, which focuses on addressing this area of the industry?
Post-founding Entrepreneur: Starting a technology firm is not easy, and it requires many strategies and plans. First, my partners gave me support in my journey and motivated me. And since I had that dream of being an entrepreneur, I started the company because an opportunity presented itself and there was the availability of market. In forming the company, my partners and I realized the need for data management and integration technology infrastructure. And having knowledge on entrepreneurship, we managed to pull it through.
Interviewer: As an entrepreneur, where there any challenges associated with your industry?
Post-founding entrepreneur: Definitely! Challenges are always there in most of the technology firms. Some of the challenges encountered include challenges in data storage and integration, and challenges in risk management. Hence, to curb these challenges, proper solutions have to be set to keep the company running.
Interviewer: What steps did you take to become global?
Post-founding entrepreneur: The idea of coming up with a global company was a dream, but with time, and several strategies along the way, it led us to our success. As a college student, it is important for one to have dreams and what to achieve in the future. For instance in my case, I add a dream of becoming building my own global software company. This is one of the reasons I am an entrepreneur today. This means that it is good for one to have visions of being an entrepreneur early.
Interviewer: What unique challenges did you face being an entrepreneur?
Post-founding entrepreneur: The first challenge in most of the firms is the source of finance. Another challenge is dealing with people of different languages and cultures. As I encountered the challenges associated with my company, I found ways to come up with their solution. Despite the challenges, my goal was to become a successful entrepreneur.
Interviewer: As a global firm, what strategies did you use to ensure that your set goals are achieved?
Post-founding entrepreneur: It is indeed a process. First, I had a discussion with my partners, and we come to an agreement about the vision for the firm. In carrying out such discussions, it is important for the partners to be on the same page for the company to move in the right direction. Hence, for my company to become a successful global firm, I as the CEO, I have learned the techniques to trust my management team. I also discovered that I did not have to come up with all the decisions of the firm, this being the reason for hiring diverse managers with a variety of skills required for the success of the firm. Interviewer: What did you enjoy most about being an entrepreneur?
Post-founding entrepreneur: The greatest achievement in my job is when I can see all the employees gaining a clear understanding of our mission and vision of the company. It takes time to achieve all the set goals and accomplishments, but from my point of view, my company is heading in the positive direction company is well structured and there’s unity across the organization.
