When it comes to the meetings, American Finance Association, and Western Finance Association have various kinds of meetings and each of these meetings is normally meant for them to be able to meet the association’s goals.
The American Finance Association is an association which is one of highest ranked premier finance organization, is one which is tasked with various functions; namely, to provide an avenue where the various individuals with an interest in finance can meet and discuss matters of finances, to educate the public on financial problems, to help create awareness in matters of finances through the printing of journals or periodicals, to encourage finance study in colleges and universities and to conduct programs that will help them know how to tackle financial issues(Sweetser 49). The association normally holds various meetings such as the fact-finding meetings and the educational meetings which are aimed at ensuring that the members of the public are well-guided in issues pertaining to finances. These meetings are always open to every member of the public and even students are allowed to attend them and once they attend, if they are not members they are allowed to register as members of that society.
The Western finance Association, on the other hand, is an organization which was formed with the purpose of serving as a focal point for communication among members, improving teaching and scholarship, and providing for the dissemination of information, including the holding of meetings and the support of publication. This association allows for individuals to be part of their meetings through registration. The hold annual meetings where they allow for everybody in the society to be a part of, they allow for even the students to attend in order for them to be taught and guided in terms of their finances. They encourage student attendance and involvement in the company that they further have in place programs that subsidize how much students pay.
Being a member of LinkedIn, I’m connected to the American Finance Association which in turn helps me know the meetings and the programs that the association has in place. In addition to these various LinkedIn groups such as the financial club, media and marketing professionals worldwide and all professionals may play an important role when it comes to the development of my career and help in the issues of networking in the near future.
