Internalism/Externalism Case Study Sample

- Internalism is a thesis founded on knowledge belief or it is justified faith intertwined with knowledge and concerns itself with the basis of that faith. Chisholm assertion that, alternatives to internalism are founded on true or false belief or are informed by non externalist considerations is true.
This is because, internalism postulates that, an individual is capable of accessing the foundations of his or her knowledge while it’s alternative externalism is a informed by convictions that founded on perceptions and faith which lack consistency as well as verification per se (Chisholm, 2008). In addition

- In my opinion, some melting point cannot be established between the two modes of thought. This is out of the fact that, knowledge and a justifiable faith cannot be linked. Similarly, an individual can have inherent conviction without a justified knowledge. For example, in a set up of religious conviction, faithful adopt strong beliefs some of which may overly be founded on false interpretation of their divine experiences.
Moreover, in order to verify knowledge, the instruments that ought to aid the process must not be absolutely internal since, internal factors are emotionally biased, lack logic as well as consistency.
Last but not least, the domains of faith lie on conviction rather than information that would call justification to mind. It is there for worth noting that internalism and externalism cannot be linked.
