Q: How would you describe your ideal job?
A: My ideal job is becoming a nurse so that I can help treat soldiers. I reckon that this is my way of acknowledging their sacrifice, hard work and dedication to duty so that we can enjoy freedom and peace.
Q: Why did you choose this career?
A: I choose this career because as a child, I always wanted to be a soldier and serve my country.
Q: What goals do you have in your career?
A: As a soldier, my goal is to serve my country in the highest rank possible.
Q: How do you evaluate success?
A: I evaluate someone’s success as his ability to complete the goals he has set for himself.
Q: Describe a situation in which you were successful.
A: During my basic training in the military, I set a goal to get through top of the class and I achieved it.
Q: What do you think it takes to be successful in this career?
A: In order to make it in this career, one requires insight, dedication and hard work.
Q: What accomplishments have given you the most satisfaction in your life?
A: Making it through military school gave me immense satisfaction because I had achieved my childhood dream. Additionally, I consider my marriage and family as a step towards my self actualization.
Q: If you had to live your life over again, what would you change?
A: If I were to live my life over again, I would not change anything. I have a lot of satisfaction with my life as a Soldier and my family
Q: Would you rather work with information or with people?
A: I would rather work with both. I reckon that information is not always true and people do not always tell the truth. However, when working with both, one has a chance to get the truth. I also enjoy working with people.
Q: Are you a team player?
A: I am a team player. In the military, we are taught to watch out for one another in combat. It is instilled in me to be a team player.
Q: What motivates you? Helping people
A: I am motivated by helping people.
Q: Why should I hire you?
A: You should hire me because with my discipline and leadership skills, I can show ordinary employees how to deliver results of superior people.
Q: Are you a goal-oriented person?
A: Yes, I am a goal oriented person. For every task, I set up goals and develop a plan of action to help me achieve the set goals.
Q: What do you see yourself doing 5 years from now?
A: In five years time, I see myself a retired military officer working as a nurse.
Q: How do you handle conflict? Head on butt tactfully
A: I handle conflict head on, but with tact.
Q: Have you ever had a conflict with a boss or professor? How did you resolve it?
A: I have been in a conflict with my superior. I resolved the conflict by talking it out with the help of a mediator.
Q: What major problem have you had to deal with recently?
A: In the recent past, I have dealt with a soldier accused of not paying his bills. I counseled him and sent him for financial classes so that he is able manage his money.
Q: How do you handle pressure?
A: I deal with pressure by confronting and dealing with its source. I am also keen to learn from it.
Q: What is your greatest strength?
A: My greatest strength is my family. The knowledge that they will do anything for me gives me the impetus to give my all.
Q: What is your greatest weakness?
A: My greatest weakness is trying to help everybody. Because of this, I have been hoaxed and taken advantage of repeatedly.
Q: If I were to ask one of your professors to describe you, what would he or she say?
A: He is a self-motivated, devout Christian and an enthusiastic individual with a progressive and dedicated approach to work. He is a team player who respects authority and has good interpersonal skills.
Q: Why did you choose to attend your college?
A: I chose to attend college in order to increase my skills and knowledge base so that I am better placed to help people. Additionally, everyone needs an education I believe if I get one my children will be inspired to get education too.
Q: How has your education prepared you for your career?
A: Through my education, I have increased knowledge base and improved skills to help me perform my duties.
