Communication
What is the typical IT implementation process? What are the roles and responsibilities involved in system implementation?
Project charter is a process which describes the “scope, objectives, costs, and schedule for the project” (Managing IT Projects, 397). It also includes the responsibilities and scope roles of individuals to function the contribution to the project.
Project plan, the “project charter” provides the indication of the project which gives the detailed task and phases also the resources needed by the frame and timeline
Project Plan and Charter Considerations, developing these plans and agreement requires a managerial skill and experience often use in steering the committee forums and meetings where it asked a project to be reviewed and critique for the approval of the project.
Project Status Report, this status report communicate with the current condition of the reported project in general with the prepared distributed participants who are involved in the current project position and often discuss the committee that covers the typical accomplishments and work progress that requires resolution.
How did the process described in the case study fail to include the fundamental activities identified in Ch. 7 of Health Care Information Systems?
The health care system is generally working on less IT based industries, but differs in indicated surveys that provides an increasing investment to the extent if IT types that being deployed varying in the institution of prevalence of IT setting the large reflection on strength of the barriers to invest in many organization, quality and process but rather to gain the efficiency and motivation on investing field. Yet, the cost and intricacy includes the necessary organizational work the overflow the redesigned pose barriers as does not consider as certain stability to the industry.
Ch. 14 of Health Care Information Systems describes the causes of project failure. What are at least five indicators of project failure that manifest themselves in the case study?
- Lack of Clarity of Purpose
Projects that are hostile for trouble and its objectives of purpose are vividly undetermined that sometimes that it is not a partial work accomplishment for an organization that may implement and improve of quality and efficient care.
- Lack of Belief in the Project
At the moment of the objectives are not clear, the members of the organization are not satisfied with the outcome in the sense of the project will alter the work of many members of worth of wrong work that requires a participation a design implementation to improve the necessary lives of the organization to thrive.
- Lack of an Appropriate Reward System
The aspects of policies, incentives, and other practices of an organization can obstruct the structured disciplinary system and incentive behavior of an organization.
- Lack of Candor
An environment that creates and unhealthy debates for deliberating the challenge of inflated tolerant of belief and effort that has not been done in conflict managing the means of initiatives to be done. Furthermore, “organizational members, not having had their voices heard, will tolerate the initiative only out of the hope that they will outlast the initiative and the leadership” (Understanding IT Initiative Failures, 405).
- Insufficient Leadership Support
Organizational leader may undertake the commitment on demonstrating the devoted time to the project on deciding the subordinated meetings that discuss the signal of leaders on more important thing to be done. “Tough project decisions may get made in a way that shows the leaders are not as serious as their rhetoric, because when push came to shove, they caved in”( Management’s Role in Major IT Initiatives, 404).
For each indicator you described what might you have done differently to eliminate or minimize its effect?
Lack of Clarity of Purpose, to minimize this project definition is to left up the project participant into a timely scope that interpret the possible project that cannot be precise in objectives and also not be fuzzy.
Lack of Belief in the Project the legitimate questions in the projects will resist a likely troubled project, to view a large proportion on rarely succeeded people on an organization.
Lack of an Appropriate Reward System an integrated system can encounter the self-sufficient result on practices that works an involvement working process that does not mature an even willing works on hospitals.
Lack of Candor this will create a big mistake, to avoid this problems can be use a leadership attempt to fix the beaten problems without committing any attempt on hiding the bad problems which erodes the leadership on tolerance of a created problem.
Insufficient Leadership Support once this problem was occurred all possible qualified solution should encounter and face an evaporating leadership support that would never work on silent reservation on public statements.
