Computers have been developed in a manner that they function in a similar manner as human beings. They have been developed in a manner that they support most of the human activities. Like human beings, computers have been extended to exclusive memory. The memory aids the computer to conduct several roles. However, the operations are influenced by excellent programming that a human being extends to these IT systems. Computer devices may be divided into three main sections; input device, storage device or output device. Each of these sections plays a unique role in advancing the overall role of computers. The three sections of the computer are related to how the body of a human being operates.
Taking an illustration of when an individual places his or her hand on a hot stove may be extremely useful in realizing how the functioning of the body relates to how the computer operates (Schiesser, 2002). When the individual places the hand into the fire, and it gets burnt several parts of the body may act as the input devices. The first part is the hand that directs touches the fire. Also, the body contains some messaging organs which act as input devices. These organs are in the form of a system that runs the whole body and are known as nerves. They connect the hand to the brain where pain is registered, and the individual realizes that he or she is burning. Nerves which are the whole body security systems guard any element that may cause pain to an individual. The system works extremely fast such that pain is registered in the mind of an individual immediately danger comes up.
Following the pain that one experiences upon burning the hand, he or she has to respond to the burn by screaming of shouting. The output device is the element that responds directly to the pain that one is exposed to during such an incidence. In this case, the mouth may be referred to as the output device (Schiesser, 2002). This is because it helps in passing out the pain that the individual is going through. The scream is the sign of output or the output message that indicates that the individual was in deep pain. At some point, the brain may act as an output where it passes the message of pain to nerves that forces the mouth to scream as an indication of pain.
Also, the human body has the processor which is the store for such activities that would cause pain. In this case, the body develops response to any instance that would expose it to similar pain in the future. The human brain is renowned as the human storage. It is divided into the conscious mind as well as the sub-conscious mind. Each section of the brain stores different elements (Schiesser, 2002). Pain is usually stored in the sub-conscious section of the brain. Also, the body develops some instinct that protects the body from similar issues in the future. Whenever, the hand tries to touch fire there will always be that element of the body that will stop the hand from reaching the fire. Therefore, the mind acts as the processor and develops instincts that prevent the hand from touching fire in the future. Instinct reminds the hand that it would burn extremely easily.
Since the computer was developed by a human being, it has resembled most of the activities of the human body. The above illustration shows that the body has input devices, processor and output devices. These sections are represented by the hand, brain as well as mouth respectively.
