Introduction
iTunes is a new phenomenon in the music industry. With this technology, the sale of music to the public has changed. With this new technology, there are many channels in which music is distributed. There are many millions of music clips which are sold with the use of this technology. This has been seen to have affected the flow of sales for the CDs. The distribution of music on sheet of paper was the main source of music industry revenue. The development of different technologies allowed the distribution of music. This paper will focus on the role that iTunes have on the music industry. This paper will focus on three sources of information regarding this issue. It will look at academic journals from reputable sources that discuss about this aspect of iTunes.

This media source talks about how iTunes changed the flow of music in the industry. The affordability of music changed with the use of iTunes. With iTunes, there was 99-cents-per-song model. This changed the way music was distributed. This Apple’s marketing strategy changed the accessibility of music by Apple. Although there was success in music access, it was seen as a frustration to the executive of music industry executives. This is because this strategy was seen to remarket the marketing process of the music industry. Although there was wide threats and frustrations in this industry, there massive shifting of iTunes music channel.
There is a new model that is coming up where the producer is connected directly to the audience. There is no economic model that connects the audience with the producer. This is still something that is yet to be achieved. The author then proposes a model that has been developed to support this new working model. This is where the audience can get access to music and producers; the new technology that the author gives is that of iTunes where the audience gets their clips from Apple’s music store. The author then compares the pay of television programming and that of paying to videos. The author then gives a comparison that people will pay for video when they are interested but they will not pay for television programming. The author gives the description that the trend where the music will be obtained from Apple music store will continue to increase in future and that many people will be seen to make use of this trend.
With the use of iTunes, it was no longer possible to buy albums of various musicians. There was now the embracing of singles as music products. This eradicated the trend where albums were sold and instead singles were bought. With iTunes, Apple was able to bring about a new pricing and marketing strategy where songs were sold as singles. With iTunes, there was success of devices which are held on hand. It was now possible to have smart phones in the market which made it possible to play the music on these hand-held devices. The use of hand-held devices brought about portability of music.
This article has no bias as the author argues the benefits that come with this technology. This is an aspect that is being tested with the new technology. The arguments cut across all the sides of music playing. In some way, there could be some form of bias in the way the author brings the benefits of the technology without having the negative effects of this technology.

With internet music, it is possible to download music from the internet as there is no framework that helps to safeguard the music. Free sharing of music over the internet came with the use of iTunes. This is a new trend that changed the way music was played. The purchasing of music got changed with this trend. There is the emergence of technologies that are used to manage downloads. The analysis is sufficient as the author strives to show the developments and enhancements that have been seen in this field. The analysis is about the use of BitTorrents which is an internet technology that is used to download items from the internet. The author enlightens the readers about the importance of this technology. This technology allows users to download bits of a clip from the internet. It could start from available location. This is better than former download managers which forced users to download from the beginning. The clogging of the clip for download because everyone wants to get hold of the clip from one place, the beginning. This has changed a great deal so that users now can access the clip from whatever place. BitTorrents changed the way piracy was undertaken. With these technologies, the music industry is slowly deteriorating.
There is some bias in this article as the author talks about the good side of internet media technologies. The author argues from both perspectives to bring the implications of these technologies and how it affects the music industry.

There is a bias in the article in that the author does not bring about the other side of downloading music from the internet. There are some benefits hat come with downloading of music from the internet. This is an issue that is not touched in the article. The benefits that come from use of current technology are not assessed from both sides. The author dwells with the bad sides of technologies like iTunes.
