Gospels are accounts, often documented that explain the life of Jesus of Nazareth. Most well known Gospels include Mark, Mathew, John and Luke. They are the earliest available literature records of the life of Jesus. Jesus born to a pure Jewess named Mary and Joseph a carpenter. The Gospels of Mathew and Luke spell that Jesus was conceived from a miracle of the Holy Spirit. According to Mathew 1: 18-25, the couple never had any sexual relationship. It is stated that before they were together, Mary was confirmed to be with a child through the holy spirit. Luke and Mathew also indicate that Jesus was born in Bethlehem since the roman emperor had initially decreed that all the families enroll for a census in their ancestral villages.
The key message of Jesus Christ was the kingdom of God. This message is most relevant and will produce the greatest results ever on earth. It is attractive information and the central theme of teachers and preachers in these days. The central message was that the kingdom of God had come near. It was not a place where God rules but rather the rule of God itself; God’s authority, rule and power. Jesus proclaimed the kingdom of God through several ways and means1.
First was through basic facts and statements; Jesus bluntly stated that the kingdom of God had approached without exceptional art or artifice. Secondly, he used explanations; he explained some features of the Kingdom of God for example, in mark 10:14 Jesus explains the need for letting children to the house of the Lord since whoever does not receive the Kingdom as a little kid will never be allowed to enter. Finally, he uses parables; he explains the kingdom by supplying a clear image of its size. It begins as a small seed and ends up as a big plant. The full scope of God’s kingdom will be revealed later1.
The kingdom of God is the place where Jesus is the king. It is invisible and spiritual kingdom that has made its presence felt by all the people on earth. It is truly present everywhere, and Christ is honored as Lord and his will truly done. Moreover, there is an opposing kingdom that Jesus spoke about; the Satan’s kingdom that accounts for all the wars, hatred, selfishness and stupidity among mankind satanic influence is majorly effective since it operates on the background and always covered under disguise1.
Analysis of the time element of the kingdom of God concerns itself with the New Testament. The future of coming of Christ is decisively linked with the coming of the kingdom. Luke 19, Jesus describes himself as a nobleman who is departing to the father in heaven to receive his power to rule and then return as King to establish the kingdom. During this time, the kingdom was understood as being a Messianic Government that was centered upon Jerusalem. This made the expectations that the kingdom would be manifested publicly soon.
The Lord’s Prayer confirms the understanding of the kingdom of God. He taught the disciples to pray for the kingdom to come. He equates the kingdom to the will of God. God reigns in heaven thus his will is done. Entry into the Kingdom is equated to the entry of a life of the coming age. In Mathew 25, faithful are invited to inherit the kingdom where the son of man comes in his glory and take control on his throne1.
The entire Gospel defines the inheritance of the kingdom they refer to the future and the expectation of the public manifestation of the kingdom when the Messiah returns. Jesus taught us to think of the kingdom as yet to come. There are many records showing that point to a powerful and future realization. The clearest parables include the mustard seed, the tares, the draw net and the leaven. They connect the conceptualization of the kingdom with regard to perfected state of things in the future1.
First, Christ states that the kingdom of God has come upon those with demonic exorcists. Satan had been defeated in respect to those individuals freed from the shackles of demonic influence. This means that the demon is removed from those who the kingdom has come upon thus becoming a candidate for the future kingdom. According Luke 17:21, the kingdom has fully arrived and that no future is signified. Entry into the kingdom is spoken as single passage beginning from now. Thus, Christians must ensure upon the business of preparing for entry into the kingdom1.
The kingdom to come at the second coming of Jesus primarily associated with the kingdom of God. This is the main goal and objectives of the entire Christianity now. Given the fact that we hear extremely minimal about the return of Jesus Christ it is proven of how minimal we care for his kingdom. Jesus promises the disciples the kingdom of heaven; that include all the greatest materials of all, to rule over the world when God begins to rule.
Finally, the current situation that I presented in our churches is of lost hope and vision. It began when the second coming did not take place. Instead of persisting in the faith that all the promises of Christ would find their accomplishment in the return of the Lord to establish the kingdom. The entire Kingdom of God is not similar to the church. There are churches where Satan has an exceptionally large measure of control. Before the return of Christ, God is restoring knowledge of the truth as highlighted in the scriptures.
