Job analysis questionnaire
The interview that was handled lasted for at least 20 to 25 minutes as the interviewee provided a full description of her job position and the duties she accomplishes along with it. The 25 year-old head cashier in a 24-hour convenience shop says that this is likely her fourth job position every since she started working seven years ago. She mentioned that so far, this one has been among the most successful and most rewarding positions she has ever taken into account especially considering that she is an immigrant from Mexico who is in dire need of supporting her two children and her parents back home.
Job summary
Being a head-cashier, she is given the task to oversee the reports on sales and perform immediate inventory check [based on computer records] to tally the sales record for the day. This means that she is in duty for at least 12 hours with a four hour break in between. Unlike the other cashiers who work between shifts, she needed to make sure that her duties are completed within the specific time she is stationed in the cashier’s desk. Her reports are supposed to be ready for duty overlay when the morning-shift head cashier comes in. At the end of each quarter, the inventory of products occurs and the records that she and her colleague prepared for several weeks shall be the basis of the sales tally. Job Duties
Making sure that the sales tallies are accurate enough to provide data that would best determine sales records for a particular span of time is one of the most important duties of a head cashier. Relatively, her duty also includes making sure that as products come in from the purchasing department, everything gets noted and encoded into the system accordingly thus allowing for immediate pricing to commence. When prices need to be adjusted, she is also expected to enter specific details such as product codes to make sure the price adjustments would be considered in the program immediately.

She was accepted in the job based on a four year experience of good working record from her past employees. She was also asked about her competencies and skills and her computer skills was among the most important factor that the employers gave specific attention to. Her behavior is also a specific requirement, which she proudly admits to be one of the qualifications she aced during the interview. Overall quality of analysis and description
This analysis and description presentation on the job of a specific individual provides a clear distinction on how the employee was chosen, what were the requirements and how the duties were specifically related to such qualifications. Overall, it could be considered helpful in determining the specific method of choosing the right person for the position of head cashier. From this analysis, it could be determined what employees want from their applicants and what they expect from such individuals as they are hired in the said position. Following through such procedures would allow the applicants to become more competent and practically right for the position they are applying for.
