Domestic violence
Domestic violence in the past only used to involve discrimination against women but as the world progresses, the focus is now changing. Domestic violence encompasses discrimination against a partner whether one is a man or women this is because of the emerging change in the sex orientation and the number of gays and lesbians has been increasing over the last few years. The criminal justice system needs to understand issues of domestic violence so as to impose sanctions and control of the offenders and also initiate rehabilitation programs. By doing this the justice system will be able to hold offenders accountable be able to better screen to identify the victims. This will go a long way in ensuring that aggressive enforcement and prosecution, assistance of the victims, and empower people to prevent such cases from arising.
There is also need for the citizens of US to understand to have knowledge on the emerging issues concerning domestic violence so that they can change their perceptions about complex social problem and beliefs on the way public policies should be formulated. Whenever the citizens have the first and second hand information on such issues they can always help to avoid such from occurring. This will help lower the social stigma of victimization against partners. It is surprising that even after a long time since laws aimed to curb domestic violence, there is still underreporting on incidences of domestic violence. The victims of such violence feel that even though the law may be of good faith, it does not have enough provisions to protect them. The relatives and friends of the victims also do not report such cases because they do not have the existing provisions of the law to deliver justice. It is equally important for the criminal justice system and the public to come together and create a friendly environment between courts and the common citizens. The moment there is a good rapport between the citizens and people expected to deliver justice then anyone will feel free to share what they are going through especially on domestic violence, which the victims has been hiding for long while people are suffering.
Issues
Even after the congress passed laws and the various presidents who have come to power in America there is still a big challenge in implementing and adhering to these laws. The judges are reported of being impartial while making their rulings in domestic violence cases. Evidence unveils that the judges have always gone against the law and ethics that instead of considering the evidence and facts they been ruling emotionally thereby discriminating against victims. Another issue has been late delivery of justice because most of the time it is hard to get evidence to prosecute individuals who engage in domestic violence.
In order to influence outcomes on Judiciary state by dexterity of corrections and prosecutors are bestowed in coordination with district capital. Such a coordinate on overseen central management priorities of the central council and charge efficiencies of the collaboration of the most raises progress towards safer family.
Policy
Questions to do with policy on what constitute chasm should be developed. Theses queries are consigning through common use of professional prudence by police, corrections, prosecutors, and courts. Efficiency depends upon district administration and buoyancy in ability to manage safe and constitutional jails. Policies should aim at questioning circumstances on appealing an evocative officer in dishonorable when punitive alteration is opposite.
