Question one
This data is discrete. It involved measurement of whole numbers that was involving human beings (Luca C. & P. Wegner, 2004).
Question two
It was a quantitative data. It deals with figures which n also be measured. It had numerical figures that were used to compare the four presidential aspirants (Rowstow, T.M., 2007). This was collected using descriptive scientific methods.
The variables used in this study included party of affiliation, age, experience and popularity.
Question three
The source for the data was a scientific research that ewas conducted amongst the people of Kenya. A sample population was identified to represent the 40 million Kenyan citizens. They were then engaged in the research process through the use of interviews and questionnaires as the major tools for this kind of research.
Question four
The conclusions that can be drawn from this research include:
i) Party was a great determinant factor in the choice of the preferred candidate. Hon. Raila was the most preferred candidate because of his affiliation to the Orange Democratic Movement(ODM), the most popular party in the country.
ii) Ethnicity must have been a fact in people’s choice. Those from the minority tribes received less votes.
iii) Age and level of experience also played a role in people’s choice. Hence, from the observation, the most experienced candidate could be identified by many respondents (Behtash, B., 2010-05-10).
iv) Gender is also an issue in the Kenyan politics. The male candidates are more advantageous.
