One of the reasons for the superiority of Google ads over the traditional advertisements in TV and radio is that the cost advertising in Google is relatively cheaper. Many advertisers find it easier to advertise as the process is simpler. The traditional advertising methods are costly. In the modern times, there are many people who access the internet when compared to those who watch TVs and listen to radio. The target market for the adverts are not always watching TV or listening to the radio. They are busy with other activities. The activities which make them busy are more likely to be internet-related. The inventory space is available with Google as compared to those in traditional space. The appeal for more internet users is greater in Google as compared to the appeal in traditional media. Most of the ads in traditional media are seen to be a disturbance for most of the users. The adverts in Google are friendly and pass the right message. They also get the right target for the advert in which they are channeled. The cost of getting new advertisers is also a factor that is considered when running ads. In addition to these points, advertisers will pay for the results and will not pay for adverts which do not work. This is achieved by paying for the adverts which have been clicked only. For the adverts which have not been clicked, there are no payments for these.
There are instances where search advertising does not work. These instances include the times when an advert is targeted at a certain institution. If this is the case, the advert is to be run on the website of that institution. When this is the case, it is hard to get the target audience in which the advert was targeted. There are also cases where search advertising does not work like instances where adverts have been disabled in most websites. The search will not display successful adverts if this is the case.
The issue of Google not building user profiles on Gmail messages is not a security guarantee that the privacy of users is not guaranteed. The reason for this is that the location of the users is an issue of security concern. Even if the user is browsing a computer from a given location, the location of that user is known. There is issue of geographical location where the users are tracked and their IP address is recorded by Google. This information is crucial for Google and is reason enough to fear playing with the security for using their Gmail services. It will not take any much effort to get the details of the person and know where they are browsing from. This is the reason privacy is still an issue with Google and their entire product. They have specific domains for all regions and countries. All the countries have their own Google sub-domains so that it will not take much effort to know where someone is browsing from.
There are many negative uses of cookies. A cookie is a piece of information that is stored on the web browser. They are the ones which allow various entities like companies to acquire some important information about a specific person or firm and use it in a manner that is not right. They are used to track users’ online behavior, and by ensuring that there is cookies control among the browsers, will assist in securing important information. Cookies if used wrongly can be used to get important information of the users. This information can be used by hackers to get confidential information that could be used for malicious gains. This is an important factor that makes the cookies a risky technology. They tap the user activities and can be used to gain access the information that the hackers have been targeting. With online banking and shopping, there are a lot of risks that are associated with the cookies. They are tools that are used by hackers to gain access to online bank accounts to get access to the important details.
Google Chrome is a browser which was developed by Google. It is successful in the market. It is easier to use as it has a simple interface. There are some fallbacks for Chrome as a browser. The reason for this is that there are a lot of security issues. It is light and it is a target for many hackers. Chrome OS is an operating system that was developed by Google. They are not also successful because they are considered to have a lot of security holes and also it has not enjoyed popularity in the market. This is the reason as to why it has not been adopted by many internet users. Android is an operating system that is used by smart phones from Google. It can be said that they are a success. They are simple to use. As an IT manager, I would recommend the use of Chrome and Android. Android has many tools in the market to develop and change some technical specifications. I would recommend Chrome because it is easier to use. As an investor I would encourage the development of android and the enhancement of the chrome browser. This is because they are gaining popularity and are commonly used by many users in the market.
Google search better in all other areas except sports and entertainment, when compared to Yahoo search and Bing, it lags behind. It has better search results in all other areas that are tried. I would shift to Yahoo for sports and celebrity news and switch to Bing for entertainment related searches.
