- Are you most comfortable as a task or people oriented leader?
- How important is charisma in your leadership effectiveness?
Having charisma is an important activity or phenomenon that comes under the ambit of leadership. It is one of the most important types of leadership through which an organization could enhance their effectiveness in total. Having Charisma in my leadership would be extremely effective as it gives a clear picture to me as far as influencing my employees is concerned. Through the utilization of this particular stance, I would become able to satisfy the needs of my employees.
- Are you leadership skills more transformational or transactional?
Basically, there are two different types of leadership, which predominantly are transformational and transactional and both of these types are essential for them. From the case study, it is found that my leadership style of skills is more transformational rather than transactional, because I don’t always initiate coercive behavior against my employees and always like to give them a free hand. I always think that employees like to work and they don’t want any sort of influential or coercive behavior in total and I am kind of a person who is associating with the same kind of leadership.
- Which of the 5 bases of power do you feel most comfortable using?
Though there are number of powers associate with leadership which has been mentioned in the case study. 5 powers which are essential for leadership are
- Coercive
- Reward
- Legitimate
- Expert
- Referent
Reward power is the most effective and I am comfortable with the same because it gives the leaders an idea that they should compensate their employees accordingly merely for the productivity of the company as a whole. In this particular case study, it is found that using any of these powers would bring economic and strategic prosperity to a company, but rewarding power would be the dominating one.
- Briefly discuss your preferred conflict –handling style?
For a leader, the style of handling or managing a thing could be extremely important and vital indeed and there are two different handling styles are there, which predominantly are personal and professional situations. My personal handling style is more lenient towards professionalism rather than personal, because I am a professional leader and knows the importance of being professional.
- What is your preferred negotiating style? Do you like to negotiate? How is this reflected in your communication style results
I would like to have the interpersonal style as my preferred style of negotiation and I really like to negotiate on the things and it will also enhance the level of communication among the employees and the management which is extremely important for a company.
