Leadership. Essays Examples

Leadership is a fundamental virtue that is innately prevalent amongst a select few. Leadership qualities may be in existence in most individuals but only a few are able to manifest and exercise the leadership style that is suitable to be considered real leaders. My personal aspirations are indicative of leadership requirements that are consistent with positive change and as a ray of hope to the people I serve. I aspire to be a leader who provides service and as a beacon of achievement towards a better future. Additionally, I would like to be a leader that practices integrity and uses intelligence in the achievement of objectives and goals.
One individual that has really been a source of motivation and aspiration is President Barrack Obama. President Obama has been at the forefront in the heralding of change in the contemporary American society. Though his achievements may be termed consequential as they have been successful to considerably huge degrees against a backdrop of a myriad of challenges they have gone a long way in ensuring that his tenure has been successful. Qualities that I aspire to borrow from the President include caring, respect, sensitivity, self-confidence and fairness to name but a few. Leadership and behavioral traits exhibited by this leader are consistent with the characteristics that I would like to exhibit.
Certain calculated steps will be undertaken to ensure that I can represent some of the characteristics that are portrayed by the leader. Ensuring a positive rapport with the people will help me gain characteristic like care and sensitivity of other individuals. Positivism fosters good relations that is defined through consideration of others people’s feelings thus ensuring that care will be afforded to individuals. An understanding approach that ensures I am aware through listening or communication skills of the needs of others will help grow respect among others. Dynamism will also be used to help one become change oriented through the incorporation of different methods in which things are done.
