The evaluation of personality helps an individual to better appraise and comprehend the world around. MBTI has been demonstrated as a very bona fide technique to find the patterns of various behaviors shown by individuals. These behaviors and actions lead to different leadership styles and projects unique ways to perceive and make pragmatic conclusions. The ISTJ category of individuality has been illustrated by the assessment and it reflects four attributes that are; I for Introversion, S for sensing, T for thinking and J for judging. Individuals having ISTJ type are devoted observers, profound thinkers, have incredibly clear visualization, rational expectations, and ability to delegate accountability. The acknowledgment of MBTI appraisal is very imperative for an individual to perform well at place of work and also to optimize the ecstasy of personal life. It delineates all the success factors that could positively participate in the achievement of an individual according to personality reflection (Charles, 1997)
Leadership with Goal oriented approach results from ISTJ type and best work out when the ultimate target is not obvious or the team is not fully communicated of how each member is expected to perform. The main focus is to make ideas and information genuine and understandable to everyone. Such leaders systematize their team in a logical way and make aspirations and objective absolutely clear to each member of squad. They are tremendously focused on facts and details and are mostly observant but occasionally subjective as well. Such leaders are unconditionally devoted to their community, family, relatives, friends and the organization they are serving.
Importance is laid on current situations and such leaders are firmly realistic and give huge consideration to experiences and observations .Achievement of aims is the foremost priority and inner feeling is used t guide the actions and decisions. Proficient and constant hard efforts are being carried out to meet up deadline .Such leader resolves problem on rational and logical basis while keeping in view the ground realities in order to avoid prejudices and flaws.
This leadership ensures to maintain the focus of every member of the team on the objective and make use of team’s skill in a very systematic and creative manner. The leader uses standardized methodology in order to sort out nearly all reasonable and practical arguments to persuade others. This leadership philosophy has few drawbacks as it loses the future vision being too much involved in present, inflexibility, don’t welcome any innovation from others because of in built reserve nature and therefore needs to modulate for growth on personal level. The vision needs to expand so as to plan in long term; the feelings and ideas from others should be given valuable consideration for the sake of novelty and improvement (Isabel, Linda , Katharine, 1993).
Each of leadership styles has its own implications and that result in certain behavior therefore it is very important for every leader to evaluate it though MBTI. This will enable the leader to nurture a learning culture in his team and promotes the values of reciprocated sharing of knowledge by reinforcing the positive aspects and by rectifying the drawbacks. Moreover the feeling type leaders are more inclined to take major decisions based on their intuitions and gut feelings rather than facts and figures. These types of leaders usually do not take input from environment including the people suggestions etc.
