The video is an excellent display of genuine leadership, which every person should think about, the ideas of this video, will stick with me for a long time. Dudley begins by explaining an idea concerning the understanding of leadership. He talks about the kind of leadership that he wants every person to possess doing the littlest things those that you hardly recognize, which can have a substantial impact on people. While teaching on this kind of leadership, he tells a story of a girl that was about to start college at a particular university, and she was frightened that she could not do it (Dudley). On the day of orientation, she almost told her dad and mom that she could not handle the thought of being there and she thought of going home. Just then, Dudley walked to everyone that had lined up, giving out lollipops to the new students. When he reached to this girl, he told the guy next to her to take the lollipop and hand it to the beautiful woman next to him.
The amount of welcoming feelings and liveliness she received from the person, made her grasp that it was not so terrifying and that she could do it. When Dudley was graduating four years later and about to leave the university, the girl came to him and narrated this story (Dudley). Amazingly, the person that gave her the lollipop became his boyfriend, and they were still dating. She continued to tell Dudley that without him being inviting and outgoing, she would have gone back home, and would not have met her boyfriend. One year later, Dudley received an invitation to attend their wedding. In conclusion, Dudley explains the importance of this story through saying that he could not remember the lollipop moment, but through it, he changed a person's life with him knowing.
