Comparing and analyzing ads process may be very interesting and reveal many different ideas that modern society has about specific target audience. Ad makers often focus on specific group in order to get the most customers. Analyzing ads may help to reveal the modern day society issues.
Society shapes the overall information that they receive from the media. Usually ad creators focus on their target audience which is usually shaped by gender, age, occupation etc. Ads may include different types of texts in them. These writings have a hidden meaning and are trying to prove that this item is worth to be purchased for any money. For example, when we usually see a perfume ad, we are likely to see a very attractive young woman, if the scent of this perfume is fresh. So a customer is likely to see a young lady with a seducing glance who is probably holding a perfume bottle very close to her face. Charlize Theron is a good example for that in Dior campaign (Celebrityendorsemetads Web). Also, there will be some type of a text, usually it consists of 2 or three words. This advertisement is likely to be aimed on the young women ages 20-35. The advertisers are trying to attract women by promising them that they will get all men of the world with this perfume. Also, it is likely that a male perfume advertisement will have a man who looks very seducing on it. Therefore, all of the advertisements are aimed to sell a product to their target audience and promise them what these people might be looking in their life the most.
In conclusion, advertisements know hidden requests of the people. They are trying to sell their products by playing on people’s feelings. However, so far they have been doing it very successful.

Ads in Magazines Representing Gender,
Race, Ethnicity and Sexuality
Magazines is a good source of information for many people in our society. One can find advertisements that touch upon different topics that are very specific for a magazine that they are published in. Therefore, ads in magazines often represent gender, ethnicity, sexuality etc.
Gender roles are quite vivid demonstrated in advertisement. Often one can see how many advertisements are aimed at the typical stereotypical roles. Advertisers take into consideration gender because people whether they male or female react to the ads and make purchases. Advertisers would often put women in the kitchen or show her as a seducer. These are the stereotypes that are connected to women and are propagated by the ad publishers. However, the advertisers do not consider the fact that these ads will be also viewed by the younger generations. Therefore, it will influence their perception of the world and how they react to women and men. These ideas often can be found in perfume and beer ads (Feminaactivedivas, Web). Also, they will determine their gender roles. Masculinity is also quite well presented in the ads. Men are shown as strong and very aggressive representatives of the mankind.
In conclusion, it is necessary to state that advertisements have a very deep influence on the society as the whole. Advertisements try to keep the stereotypes active at all times. It is important to understand that not everything that is seen on TV needs to have application in real life. Therefore, prejudice that people have towards men and women and diverse ethnic groups oftentimes comes from the advertising world even though we may not be aware of this phenomena.
