My friends and I are planning a trip to New York City to watch theatre show. We are six in number and therefore we are planning to use a total of $ 6700. The flight cost is estimated to cost approximately $ 200 for every individual, amounting to $1200. The accommodation cost is estimated to be $ 350; this means that we will need a total of $ 2,100 hotel cost. We also need a total of $ 3,216 which will be used as the ticket fees. We have also allocated $ 184 for miscellaneous such as taking a taxi from one point to another.
The first show that we are planning to watch is “Black Bird”. This show is chosen because of its theme. It focuses on a life story between Ray and Una. The two have involved in an illegal sexual scandal, therefore Ray has been trying to hide her identity. The kind of the irony provided in the synopsis has made all of us crave to watch the show. This drama has also won the Olivier Award in 2007 for the best new play (Cody 29). The reviewers emphasize on the sterling performance by Jeff Daniels. The fascinating show has been praised with its ability create a tense curiosity among the audience. The ticket price for this show is $ 145 and is aired in Balsco Theatre.
The second show that we are planning to watch is “Robber Bridegroom”. The main reason for choosing this show is the anticipated thrill from it. The show portrays an area in Mississippi where there are the most dangerous men ever known. Most of my friends whom we are to travel with have a unique liking towards shows with thriller genre. We have therefore unanimously accepted that we must watch the show. The show portrays an affair Jamei Lockhart has with another woman even though he has decided to marry the noble girl. Reviewers have noted that the show is very predictable; however, they appreciate the work of raucous characters in the play. The show is aired in Laura Pell Theatre and the ticket price is $ 99.
Another show that we must watch is “She Loves Me”. The dramatic irony between Georg and Amalis, is one aspect that drew our attention to watching the show. This show portrays two co-workers who keep on bumping their heads at work but unknowingly they are anonymous pen pals who are already falling in love with each other. Our curiosity was on how the two will react after knowing that they are pen pals. With they respond to the intimacy which has developed between them as friends or will they just stick on the enmity between them as co-workers? This is one question that we are eager to know the answer. The reviewers are praising the show for its astounding characters, and the proper use of memorable background songs. The show is aired in Studio 54 and the maximum price for the tickets is $ 147.
The final show that we have planned to watch is the “Disaster!”. Nobody does not like music, at least not my friends and I. This is one musical show that features a group of dancers and gamblers amidst the earthquakes and tidal waves. This show incorporates classical pop and rock music such as the renowned “Hot Stuff”. All my friends read the synopsis and they were convinced that this is a must-watch show. The reviewers believe that the show relies mainly on its special effects; this is done by letting the audience to be part of the joke. The use of parodies is also evident in the show, as the audiences are made to wear the silly clothes. The show is airing in Nederlanders Theatre with a ticket price going up to $ 145 during weekends.
