The findings of the survey on where the product, wireless feeding device, would most likely to be purchased shows that most customers would buy the product from the supermarket followed by online and pet store respectively (Surveymonkey). The survey, additionally, shows that no customer would visit electronic product store to look for the wireless feeding device. It is imperative to note that this product targets middle-income employees who have full time jobs and are living in a city. These target customers have busy schedules and would probably use their free time to complete necessary tasks such as shopping for basic commodities and those that will make their lives easier ("Millennials As Pet Market Consumers : Market Research Report"). Since wireless feeding device is a solution to the problem that fulltime employees who own pets face in feeding their pets, a bigger percentage of these people will purchase this product in supermarkets while doing their shopping.
With the increasing use of the online market as a platform for buying and selling of products and services in the current generation, customers of wireless feeding device can easily order for the product without spending too much time and effort looking for the product in pet store and other outlets that sell pet products. The number of pet stores in various cities has increased exceptionally with time making it easy to locate a pet store and purchase the product you need. This has made pet store to be the third place that target customer of the wireless feeding device would purchase the product.
Question 7.
The responses of the survey to determine the platform that the wireless feeding device is likely to be advertised shows that the social media will take 74.19% of the share of advertising, followed by 12.90% for the magazine, 9.68% for television and lastly 3.23% of advertisement will be done in stores (Surveymonkey). The large percent of advertising being taken by the social media shows the important role that it plays in marketing various products in the current generation. Many people, including pet owners, use various social media platforms in their daily lives and reaching the target customers through advertisement in various social media platforms will ensure that more target customers are reached. Magazines is another marketing platform that can reach a lot of the wireless feeding device target customers because of the high number of people reading magazines. The findings showed that advertising the product through television platform came in closely after the magazine (Surveymonkey). This is because close to all middle-income employees own televisions that they use for recreational purposes after their busy schedules. As such, advertising the product through the television platform would reach a considerable amount of target consumers. In stores advertising was the last marketing platform that the product would use to advertise it products because of its less effectiveness in reaching a large number of target customers.
